Deseree has a B.A. in Spanish from Northwestern College and is passionate for social justice. She is one of our translators and also a terrific proofreader. She also works as a Family Advocate for the Mid-Sioux Early Head Start Program. She has lived in Honduras and studied in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
Johannes is one of our in house Interpreters. He has experience in interpreting for the Sioux County Jail and physical therapy and dental clinics. Johannes was raised bilingual. He is the son of Piet and Rosa Koene. The Koene family has lived in Canada, Honduras, and currently resides in Orange City.
A native of Honduras, Angel immigrated to the United States, married, and calls Sioux Center home. Seeing a distinct need to help integrate the Hispanic and Caucasian communities, Angel founded MCT Center to provide local families and businesses a much needed resource to find information, knowledge, and aid in becoming better members of our communities. While overseeing the business, Angel also translates and leads workshops.

Certified by the legal department from the state of Iowa to a Master of Arts in translation and interpretation, the highest level of certification one can receive from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, along with in house native speakers fluent in both languages with extensive experience in translating and interpreting.
